Cutting and chopping sweetpotatoes

Preheat the oven to 400°F. Pierce the sweetpotatoes a few times with a fork or knife, and then bake until tender, 40 to 60 minutes, depending on the size of the sweetpotatoes.

For quicker baked sweetpotatoes, microwave on high for 4 minutes, then bake at 400°F until tender, 10 to 20 minutes.

Roasted sweetpotatoes

Preheat the oven to 400°F. Toss diced or sliced sweetpotatoes with oil, arrange on a rimmed baking sheet, and bake until tender, 15 to 30 minutes depending on the size and amount of the pieces.
